Try to keep your saw blade flush with the top of the pipe, perpendicular to it, as you cut. Once you’ve made this first cut, move down and do another until you have completely severed that side of the pipe in two pieces.
Keep applying pressure as you go and try not to saw too quickly because this could cause friction between the two halves which would result in them being glued together rather than separated by your saw.
